Took my time, took my chances, went the distance, now I'm back on my feet. It was somewhere in the later part of the afternoon when Rune got back to the castle after helping out at his uncles shop, once more in his full school uniform... he really needed to find a way to un-hex his trunk. The plan had been to stay and help till dinner, but after the incident with Sam and Teddy, or more accurately Teddy, he was fuming mad. His uncle of course knew he was a vampire, and when it became clear Rune was upset and not fully in control he sent him back to the castle. His uncle was smart enough to know a vampire that was angry and having self control problems was bad for business. It wasn't quite close enough to dinner time to head to the great hall, so he was going to try and let off some steam before then. Last thing anyone needed was for him to lose, possibly flip a table over and proceed to break every bone in someones body.
The other problem though as he made his way up towards the room of requirements was getting there without anyone seeing him. A good sign he was losing his cool was the fact his fangs had extended to a point they were hard to conceal. It wasn't just Teddy, this was month's of frustrations. Ever since Sam broke things off the rumor of him and his sister sleeping with each other came back into swing, Being turned into a vampire, which by extent was making it hard to control himself the way he had, trying to be nice to Sam and Ted and Ted being an absolute dick. Just so many things and he was truly reaching his breaking point.
He managed to get up the stairs seemingly unnoticed, but unaware he had in fact been spotted. He walked up to the room and walked past it three times. However, he couldn't keep his mind focused enough, so no door appeared. He tried a couple more times and failed and frustrated slammed his hand against the spot the door should have been with a growl. Could he not just get one break for a change, one simple break.

Tiring was today. Many hours of late night studying was catching up with her, and Elanore was getting restless. It took forever for her to fully wake up, for she was so tired and stressed from staying up to late. Blinking her eyes, and rubbing them gently, she yawned. Today was going to be a long, tough day. Thankfully, it was the weekend which made things' easier. She could easily sleep in tomorrow, like today. Elanore finally pulled herself to a sitting position, after a few seconds she swung her legs over the bed and stood up. "Ah, this is going to be a horrid day..."
Pushing herself to shower, she finally grabbed her things and headed that direction. After the shower, she felt clean and relaxed. Maybe today could get better. In the mirror she applied her usual makeup, just after vigorously brushing her teeth and flossing. Light eye shadow, thick liner, and lash extending mascara. Spritzing hair spray and gel into her locks of hair, muggle supplies were always a necessity. Feeling ultimately satisfied with how she looked, Elanore pushed herself away from the mirror and returned to the Common Room. Thoughts of Rune, and Sam suddenly entered her head. They weren't good thoughts' either, actually they were annoying. Adding onto her stress levels, and making her blood boil.
Rarely did Elanore travel this path, but she was looking for answers'. Rune had been avoiding her as much as possible, and it tore her apart. The fact that she knew how terrible it was for him right now. How he was keeping this secret from her, and the love he felt for his ex was no longer returned. Not to mention that Sam didn't care, which made it worse. Elanore envied Sam for that factor, and it itched at her buttons that Sam didn't provide the same love back for Rune. Elanore was pacing the Common Room, debating. Should she go and find him, demand answers? Or should she just continue to wait, wait and wait for him to confront her? The leading part of her personality kicked into overdrive. Along with the need for knowledge of this situation. Storming out of the Common Room, Elanore made her way down a few sets of stairs. So blind by anger, and impatience she almost didn't see Rune walking down a corridor. Her head flicked to the left, and she watched him intently. Silently she followed him, her flats barely making noise against the ground.
Staring at the back of his head, and keeping hidden as he walked past the same spot multiple times. Elanore knew what he wanted. After a few moments' of focus, she had the Room of Requirement door appear for him. Unsure of whether he would think he had done it or not, Elanore stayed hidden. She would follow him in there. Once they were in there, they could talk privately. Plus, he wouldn't leave not in there. She knew how to keep him in one place. It was just the factor of coming into contact with him.

Took my time, took my chances, went the distance, now I'm back on my feet. Rune was about to just leave to wreck one of the abandoned room a on the 6th floor when the door appeared. He had stopped trying, and the door didn't just magically appear like that. He waited for someone to exit, taking a step back, but no one opened the door. He opened it himself then but as he got it open a crack he picked up on a rather delicious scent. It took a second for him to put it to a name and all, another to figure out that she had made the door appear for him. He was barely able to think straight like this. Part of him wanted to go hug her, another wanted to yell at her to leave, another wanted to hug her then bite her. He probably cared about Elanore as much as he cared for Sam, though the way he did was somewhat different. She was his best friend, since day one of school. She ignored the rumors about his sister, put up with his sarcasm, one of the few people over all that had treated him well. He felt bad for having dodged her since being turned, but he didn't want to hurt her by mistake, or worse by intention.
"I know your there Elanore." Rune said, a slight growl purely from his mood and a slight distortion to his usual voice from the fangs, and keeping his back turned so she couldn't see his face, but turning his head ever so slightly. "I'm probably not the best company right now, but thank you for getting me a door." Rune kept the door open that bit, because he had no real idea what she was going to do. He knew her well enough to know this much, if she was intent on following him, she was probably already three steps ahead of just about any move he would make. She was smart, really smart, and she was one of the few he'd say could play that kind of mental chess with him. He could try using some of that vampire speed, she probably didn't know that, but had to get around the door, clear it, and yank it shut, enough time for her to probably cast a spell to keep it open just long enough. When he boiled it down if she wanted to stay he was going to lose the battle. He kept his head down to try and hide the fangs that were still slightly visible but had receded some as he opened the door fully while stepping to the side and holding it. "But if you still want to stay, then ladies first."

What exactly was there for Elanore to do? Rune obviously could smell her. Sooner or later he would see her appear in the Room of Requirements, and probably act dumb when she demanded information. Elanore decided against staying hidden, instead worked her smarts. After he stated 'ladies first', she then stepped to the side. From the shadows she emerged, seeing him in full view. It was obvious her could see her now. Pretending to be angry, she head towards him now. Her small feet slapped against the ground as she acted snobby. Tried to anyways, she wasn't exactly used to this attitude. Elanore pointed her nose into the air. Walking carefully up to him, and looked into the room, with her head still tilted up slightly. "Why thank you. Well aren't you just the nicest boy in this whole school. Ignoring your best friend, sweetest thing I've ever heard of!" Elanore crossed her arms, and only waited momentarily for an answer. Then she marched forward into the Room, no longer waiting for his answer. Feet still slapping against the ground as she still had her arms crossed. She was no in the Room of Requirements, it seemed to have been only yesterday she was in here crying over her father. Breaking down in front of Rune, and letting him see her fragile side. The side of her that was child-like, and so easy to shatter into bits.
The sights around her, she took in. Even though she had ventured here many times, it was always fun to see. It was endless the things' you could find in here. Elanore quickly wished a couch to appear, and then it did. Smiling to herself, and pleased with her accomplishment she rewarded herself by having a seat. Elanore wasn't sure if rune could hear her clearly, but if he was a vampire he probably could. Come on fangs, let's have a chat! Elanore looked towards the door, and smiled. Laying back against the couch, crossing he legs. The couch was directly in front of the door. Of course it was many feet away, but she could clearly see him in view. Waiting for him to come closer. Elanore laid her arms across the back of the couch, after flicking her hair back into place. "So Runey, whats the deal? I don't approve of your behavior towards me..." Elanore was trying to so hard to be mad at him, but the tone in her voice was lacking. Elanore wasn't a mean person, and it was showing how hard she forced her voice to be angry. Elanore narrowed her eyes, and tried to think of how cruel it was for Rune to have ignored her. Now, to figure out why and to get the truth out of him.

Took my time, took my chances, went the distance, now I'm back on my feet. Rune kept his head down as she said about ignoring his best friend. Being his best friend she should have understood that it wasn't exactly easy for him to do. He didn't know what he wanted to answer to her, she was right about him having ignored and avoided her. So he let her walk in while he attempted to keep his self control. He had hoped she would just choose to leave, or maybe just smack him and do so before hand. Staying to talk made things complicated. It was stupid to have even let her have the option he should have just tried being faster then her. He knew he wasn't really stable and he knew it wasn't safe for her to be near him right now. Could he maybe use a friend right now yes, but he didn't want to snap and make a meal of them.
He stayed away from the door as he contemplated leaving and heard her from inside the room as she then said she didn't approve of his behavior towards her lately. He was trying not to focus on the smell, trying to keep his head clear as he turned the corner. He tried to keep his head low but he saw how she was sitting and her hair being back exposed her neck. She looked amazing which didn't help anything. She probably had a good enough angle to see the dim glow his eyes had had as he turned the corner since it wasn't super bright in the room. But before the door even had time to close, more before she could probably blink he was in front of the couch and he pushed her down on her back, pinning her beneath him with his right hand just below her breasts and the left at her chin tilting her head to the side. His eyes were shining a brighter green then when he'd been in the doorway and his fangs were back out as he moved his mouth to her neck, and his hand move closer to her chest. It was obvious he wanted to do a little more then just feed off her right now, it was also obvious Rune probably wouldn't hesitate to rip the clothing off and all even if she rejected it, not something Rune would do if he were thinking straight. He got enough self control to move his mouth away from her neck and move his hand more towards her mid section, breathing heavily as he fought against every instinct he had right now. "This is why I've been avoiding you and all." Rune said through his fangs, he wanted to get off her so she could sit up and all, but it was hard to. "Right now I'd barely have a second thought about tearing your clothes off or biting you. I'm rather lacking in the self control department." he said, clearly frustrated with himself. What was worse was having seen his father, minus the vampire blood sucking part, do similar thing to his mom as a kid. The idea he would do anything like that man he hated.

Elanore was at a mere blink when she was suddenly being shoved down onto the couch. Her hair flipped to one side, stuck in a clenched ponytail holder. Elanore still had her eyes shut, but even she could hear the trouble of his voice. How his fangs got in the way of him speaking. She was sure she smelled delicious. His hand moved down and then up again, resting against her stomach. While she tried desperately not to be afraid, she was actually enjoying it more then she feared it. Rune seemed to be breathing on her neck, his mouth had to be open. Would she become one of him? His hand tilted her head, and it was more in depth now. Heart thumping a thousand beats a second, as she tried to remain in control. This was intense, and erotic. Elanore couldn't help but get a little hot, and worked up. At the same time he was pissing her off, teasing her like this...
Eyes sparkling as she turned her head back, trying to view him. Rune seemed in so much pain. Elanore knew how difficult this must be for him, and it sort of pained her for being pissed at him this whole time. Rune was only trying to protect her, and coming here with her hair back was a no-no. She knew he was a vampire, so how could she so easily put it back. When she knew she was going to search for him. "No, it's sort of my fault to. I need to stop being so attractive..." Elanore snickered slightly, and smiled at him. The comment about ripping her clothes off frightened her, but at the same time she was intrigued. "You're not going to invite a girl out to dinner first? Look, I'd be pleased to get naked with you, but I'm not easy like that. Even if you're extremely attractive. It doesn't matter, I demand we go out for butterbeer or something first!" Elanore stared at him, and looked over his features. Such an attractive young man, even before he was changed. Rune had always been attractive.

Took my time, took my chances, went the distance, now I'm back on my feet. Rune's breathing started to slow down a bit and his fangs slowly started to receded as she apologized for being "so attractive". It seemed somewhat odd but comforting that she didn't seem that afraid of him. Or at least didn't show as much. It made sense when Sam hadn't because she herself was one now, and after that he figured out how to tell a vampire from a human, and Nora was still definitely human. Even his family had been spooked, even Raven, and that was near impossible. Though he was glad he was getting some degree of control back. Though as he looked at Nora beneath him, something besides the vampire part wanted him to stay there. She really was a beautiful girl.
Though as she added on the inviting her out to dinner part and all, he wasn't totally sure how to take it. How much of that had been a joke or sarcasm if any at all. On the one hand dating Sam had made it so he actually recognized that sometimes things like that were actually meant to be flirting and the like. He had been a complete idiot about girls but things just sorta fluked out for him and Sam to get together. Problem was he now questioned what was real and what was fake in that respect. After all, he had brought back a way to test that. He never was one for rules after all.
"Don't say that Nora, if you were less attractive that would only leave my cousin's to draw when I'm bored or want to and you know how they love abusing the Veela thing, and it's not like I can draw sis without a problem." His sister was hot, he knew it, as screwed up as his ability to say it might have been, but still. But of course despite the whole lesbian thing that people seemed to assume was a cover, well, what others thought was well documented. And Nora herself had walked into Raven in particular working that Veela charm to mess with Rune's head. Raven was more then willing to risk the rumors that could spring up from her flirting with him for a good laugh. Then again, most people understood she had a weird sense of humor and all.
Though a grin crossed his face as he said, "Well you of all people should know I'm not really into girl's that loose and of course I know you aren't" Unless Rune was looking for a one night stand that held true. Course, the last time he tried that a vampire bit him so he had pretty well stayed away from them the past few months. "And you know I'm not big on going out like that to dinner. plus it sounds more like you want me to get you drunk first." He added teasingly. Sure Rune could do going out to dinner, though he wasn't fond of it. He preferred to spend time alone with someone, not have a bunch of people around and a waiter or waitress interrupting every 10 minutes. Plus now the whole vampire thing made that a little harder. Pretty sure having the waitress as an appetizer would kill the mood.
He finally managed to get enough common sense back to get off of her and sat up on the couch as he had a table appear in front of it, starting to pat his robes and feel around the insides. "I know it's..." he said, looking for something before saying "Ah ha", holding the left side of the school cloak open and opening what was clearly and after the fact installed pocket. "Though, I may not be able to really take you out for a dinner and all." he said, pulling 6 bottles out of the pocket, all butterbeer he had gotten at the leaky cauldron and brought back, "I can however give you some butterbeer." Rune took one bottle and after opening it took a swig. One thing he had learned about being a vampire. As much as the alcohol content of butterbeer was pretty small, he could go through a lot of it or any alcohol for that matter with no effects, which kind of killed the point of wanting to be drunk enough to forget or pass out. On the other hand, he could go through as much as he wanted and enjoy the taste with no side effects.
"Though, judging by your reaction, or rather lack there of, I'm guessing you already knew what I was, but how did you know? I mean, really only my family knows that and, well, okay Raven would still tell for the right price but she hasn't bragged about seeing you naked and well, I threatened to make her a mindless puppet if she told anyone." He was pretty sure that vampire's couldn't really do that outside of muggle fiction, but well, Raven wasn't going to take the chance and Rune knew it. Though, there was another question he chose not to ask. She seemed to know he was a vampire, But she came down with her hair tied back to expose her neck, and had sat on the sofa in a rather enticing manner. The question though was why? Was it just dumb luck? Had she done it in an attempt to verify he was a vampire, which as much as Rune admitted to the fact he would have lied about it, seemed like a rather foolish and reckless chance for someone he knew was incredibly smart to take. Or, had there been another reason for it, something that tied in very well to what she had just said about being pleased to get naked with him. Though he sort of thought that may have been over (and somewhat wishful) thinking.

Even though Elanore was quite enjoying the closeness, it seemed to be getting a little crowded. Elanore stared at him, waiting for him to get up. His words falling against her face, along with warm breath that was just as enticing as the rest of him. After what seemed like awhile, and silence from her side, Rune finally removed himself from her. Elanore carefully slid up, and leaned forward her hair curtaining around her. Softly, she shook her head and laughed.
"You, Rune Ravencroft, are a very intriguing man." Her lips were curved into a smile, gently she bit her lip. "Butterbeer, aye? Suppose it will do, but I know for a fact with your knew found ability to stand such substances, it's very unlikely you could even get slightly buzzed from this liquor." Elanore slightly emphasized on he 'or' part in Liquor. This was a pretty interesting conversation. Taking a bottle and drinking a little bit of it, she was definitely prepared for the question that surfaced rather quickly.
"I was wondering when you would question that. But honestly Rune, the signs were endless. The other day when I accidentally touched your arm, frozen. I thought I had brushed my hand against an ice sculpture. Plus the dodgy attitude, and trying to avoid me and the others. Along with the whole becoming slightly more attractive with your bad boy, quiet, sucluded, should I go on?" Elanore was having far to much fun with this, and she felt her throat tickling from holding back her giggles. A slight laugh left her lips, and she turned looking at him. Gently she put a hand to his chin, and rubbed his cheek softly.
"Your delicious fangs... Oh I could see every sign, and I can honestly say I didn't expect it. Not from you, Rune. Thought you were smarter then that, I suppose the smarts still lay within my hands. Oh..." Elanore looked at him, and had already pulled her hand away. Now she put it out slightly, as if pointing. Then she swigged the butterbeer again. "Don't ever avoid me like that again! Not the smartest thing to do! If you thought that me being attractive just earlier was bad, wait until you ditch me again. I'll most definitely be naked, no worries of ripping off my clothes..." The bad thing was, Elanore was not at all joking. Her tone she tried to keep consistent and serious.
Finally, she finished off one of them and smiled. Sitting the empty bottle on the table, she looked at him, still smiling. "So, how is Raven and the rest of your family doing? I suppose no one probably took this as easily as me. Well, except for Sam..." A disgusted tone range from her voice as she said that name. Sam just pissed her off now, and she hated discussing Sam at all.

Took my time, took my chances, went the distance, now I'm back on my feet.
Rune gave a small laugh as she brought up the immunity to liquor thing as he took another swig of his own. "yep, like drinking flavored water" Rune replied, "My cousins started it but my family started calling me "Nikola" and "Tesla" at times when I decided to kind of abuse it, after a character on a older show called "Sanctuary", kinda fits but well, I don't have the neat magnetism powers." he added. He could live with that comparison. His cousin made a lot of twilight jokes that annoyed him, honestly if he had to hear one more crack from her on the fact his skin should sparkle he was going to show her the point of real damn vampire.
Rune then finished off most of the bottle in hand as she described every single sign that put it together for her. He couldn't help but laugh a bit at some, especially the part about her being naked if he ever ditched her again. Plenty of idea's and responses, namely that if anything that was incentive, seeing as much as he had drawn her and they'd known each other for 6 years he'd never even seen her naked even by accident. He'd always thought when they first met she was incredibly cute, but as he looked now, being so close to her he had never really noticed just how beautiful she had become. Though, all thoughts of the initial reply and of her beauty stopped as she said about how his family took it all and Sam.
He had just finished the last drops when she said Sam's name and he immediately thought back to meeting his replacement, and his grip tightened to the point the bottle broke in his hand. He hadn't noticed her tone, at the moment he wouldn't have really cared. Sure Sam hadn't chosen sides in his view but her dating him and all... he was just pissed off that she had lost interest, and that was what came to her next. Rune let the shards that were in his hand go and they clattered on the floor with the rest as he said "Let's not bring her up at all.", making it rather clear he had no desire to discuss her at all, not even the promise of Nora and a harem's worth of girls naked would convince him to talk about her right now. Plus he promised to keep her little secret, and he wasn't sure he'd be able to if he talked about her right now. He looked at his hand and saw a bit of blood he wiped on the black pants leg, to reveal the cuts were already gone.
Though he toned things back down as he had thought about Nora had put her hand on his chin and then rubbed his cheek. He sort of wished she hadn't stopped. "Honestly, I think you showing up naked if I ignore you is more an incentive than a punishment." he said with a grin, "But that you would suggest that, makes you rather interesting Elanore Foster", teasing her a bit. "As for the whole smarts thing, well you are probably a bit smarter in most fields but come on, I was a guy, she was hot... well, obviously not physically to the touch, and well, lets face it I was a guy and single again, it was mandatory I believe something as stupid as she was just cold from being outside all day." he replied, more then willing to make fun of himself for doing something he knocked other guys for.
"As for the rest of my family, well naturally they were all a bit nervous to be around me, not like I've always been the shining example of impulse control." He replied, then throwing in "Besides, what if that shrink after that bit with him was right, and I really do want to spend all night fucking my sister and mom, I'd mostly likely want to suck their blood too." giving a bit of a laugh. He said him instead of dad or father for two reasons. One was he hated to acknowledge the connection, or that he was anything remotely human, the other was that he knew very well about her father and wanted to try to not upset her. The fact she dealt with it as well as she did Rune had to give her credit for being pretty tough. If there roles had changed place, and well, been someone he cared about, odds were he'd probably have just completely lost it. Be it just flat out lost his mind or well, start wrecking things and well, over all not being a good person. Nora had been pretty destructive but, well, Rune was far more comfortable being on the darker side of the emotional coin. But after the last incident in particular they thought it was best he saw someone to work it all out. That was until shrinko the overpriced clown said part of Rune's fear on it was that deep down he actually wanted to. Luckily Rune's aim had been off cause of his anger that day and the chair smashed against the wall. What a load of crock that all was.
Though, before he relapsed yet again into a more primal state, he decided to lighten things up, and with all her actions and comments, take a leap. "But more importantly.." Rune said, grabbing hold of Nora and pulling her into his lap so she faced them and they were eye to eye, "Why do I have to ignore you to see you naked?" running a hand from her chin to her cheek before giving her a light kiss. He wrapped the other arm a little tighter around her as he slid his hand on her cheek so the thumb hook her chin and tilted her head just enough as he moved his lips to her neck, letting his fangs extend a bit and pressing enough that she'd feel them and there'd be some sensation, but not any pain, and dragged them ever so lightly across the skin before closing his mouth and kissing her neck. She was always there for him, she was beautiful, and to be honest, being single and having not had sex in month's aside, she was pretty much the only person he didn't have any awkwardness with 90% of the time and made him feel like he wasn't alone. He knew he was out on a limb with this, but how things had been going and what she said, he figured it was worth the chance of making himself look like a complete idiot.
