Took my time, took my chances, went the distance, now I'm back on my feet.

Rune was too distracted to notice the concern on her face after he apologized. Unfortunately he was rather one tracked mind on things at that moment. Rune wasn't surprised when she didn't buy the lie and all. Of course there was no dodging it when she said for him to tell her who and how. He knew there was a good chance if he didn't tell her she'd read his mind, meaning shifting through everything else in it. He wasn't fond of people being in his head, especially Raven, she always found the most awkward of things. Last thing he needed was her seeing half the things that went through his head anymore, not just the ones that involved her.

"It happened on a trip to hogsmeade before my sixteenth birthday." Rune replied, deciding it was better to just yield the information. "There was a really attractive older girl who looked like she was maybe just out of here, she saw me looking and motioned me to come over. Started talking, asked if I wanted to come up to her room after a bit. Got as far as stripping down to our underwear before she accidently got too carried away on the nipping." He continued. "Apparently being single and horny made me dumb enough to believe her skin was that cold from standing outside, either way that's why I was scarce end of last school year, trying to make sure I didn't hurt anyone, especially you."

He looked back up at the clouds though as he added on the after events. "Of course, mom had gotten herself a girlfriend a month or so after, turned out when she introduced her to us this summer she was the vampire that turned me. Made things rough for a day or two but, well, they worked it out. So my mom is dating the person that made me into this."

Samantha just sat there quietly as he spoke. There really wasn’t anything she could say while he was talking and she didn’t feel like she should intervene with useless words in the middle of his sentences. So, she just sat there, nodding when appropriate, and just waited for him to finish. It seemed like they did pretty much go through the exact same thing. Except her mom wasn’t dating the vampire that turned her. Then again, her family didn’t even know that she was a vampire. She still hadn’t seen them since the first week of her vacation. She felt bad for not seeing them all summer, but at least they knew that she was okay. She owled them a lot.

She frowned slightly and adjusted her legs. “Wow, that wicked sucks,”

[/b] she said, looking at him. “Especially with your mom dating her. I couldn’t imagine that. I had been wondering what had happened to you, though.” She ran her fingers through her hair and let out a sigh. “But I know how you feel,” she said, after a moment. She gave him a smile and let her fangs show. He had told her what happened to him, it was only fair she did the same. She knew it was hard to tell someone something like that and she was glad that he still trusted her enough to share. Even though she didn’t love him the way he did her, she did still care.

“Same thing happened to me. Except I didn’t try and sleep with him.” She ran her tongue over her teeth, her gaze dropping when she went over her fangs. “I was in London with a group of friends, a week after this past summer break began. We were just hanging out and shopping. Being girls, you know, when a really attractive guy came over to us. We were all just talking and having fun, when he asked if he could talk to me alone.” She paused for a second and shrugged, “Obviously I didn’t think anything of it. I had talked to guys alone before. When we were just out of earshot, he pulled me into a darkened hall and bit me. He must’ve finished me there and convinced my friends to leave because the next thing I knew, I was waking up at his place with a headache and a thirst I never expected to have.”

She combed her fingers through her hair again, and gently ran her hand along her neck where she knew his bite marks had been before. “I was stuck with him for the entire summer. I was still new to everything and I wasn’t about to go back home, I couldn’t even see my boyfriend.” She frowned when she thought about the summer. It had been horrible. She hated being stuck with Sebastian day and night, she only grateful that he didn’t kill her. “The worst part about it…I asked him why he decided to change me, and he said he was just bored. And that I was more interesting than the other he had turned. Those ones he killed. They weren’t as cute or interesting as me, I guess.” She looked back over at Rune and gave him a small smile.

“Only good thing is that my telepathy is even stronger now, it’s awesome. And I became an animagus too. I’m extra cliché,” she laughed. As much as she hated Sebastian for doing this to her, she couldn’t help but see the upside to a lot of it. Sure, she’d outlive most of her friends and her family. Not to mention Teddy, but still. She was stronger than a lot of people, quicker, and was an animagus. She thought that was all pretty cool along with it sucking (no pun intended).

Rune watched as she bared her own fangs before he could say she had no idea. So she was a vampire as well? Rune was going to ask about it, though that was probably why she didn't want to talk about her summer. But she started to tell him anyway. Rune admitted he was rather quick to resort to violence, but most of what he responded to was his father and that required it. But this guy? He sounded like the embodiment of everything Rune hated. And he killed people because they weren't pretty enough or interesting enough? Let alone turning someone, particularly Sam because he was bored? Bored of all things. Rune's eyes lit up a brighter green as if he had lights behind them before for a moment turning pitch black, whites and all for a brief second and going back to the more glowing green. All as he calmed himself back down from hearing that. Even if they hadn't dated Rune would have liked to do nothing less then rip this guys spine out.... on second thought that was probably fatal. He started to wonder if there was a way to paralyze a vampire. Permanently that was. Was Rune an evil and cruel person by nature, not really but when he was pissed he was. Rune admitted he wasn't exactly prince charming or the shining knight.

"It may be somewhat awkward living with her, but at least with me it really was an accident." Rune said through gritted teeth. He would have loved to just be able to leave that second and go beat the guy senseless and then some. He was protective of his friends, least in a case like this where they didn't start anything. Given he got along better with girls then guys, well, he ended up being that much more protective. Maybe it was because he had a twin sister, who knew. He got himself calmed down, or at least well enough that the fangs and all went away, the eyes were still lit up a bit as he pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind, then trying to shift things to something lighter, using her ending as a segue. "Somehow I should have figured you'd go for the Cliche thing, I'm guessing you turn into a vampire bat?" doing his best to smile. Though it was bigger and more sincere as he added, "But I'm not sure your telepathy getting better is a good thing for the rest of us," grinning a bit as he added "especially those of us who like the idea of you naked." He had no problems making fun of himself for being a normal guy at times.

Samantha couldn’t help but just let out a breath after she finished telling him what had happened to her. She never repeated that to anyone, (except Teddy, obviously). Still, she wasn’t planning on telling anyone else. Rune just gave her a bit of a nonverbal excuse to tell someone else. She knew that Rune wouldn’t like what he heard, and would probably want to tear Sebastian apart if he ever saw the boy. But he had no idea what Sam wanted to do to him. Sure, hearing about your ex-girlfriend that you still cared about getting attacked and turned for no reason would make anyone mad, but imagine how she felt. Even now she couldn’t believe the words that Sebastian had said to her that day.

She had been so close to tearing his head off and doing merlin knows what else to him, but she needed to get herself under control first. If she ever ran into him now…she’d kill him on the spot. There was many times where she found herself sitting in class and drifting in her thoughts about what she could do to him. No one had ever seen Samantha’s temper, and had never seen her truly angry at someone. She was able to keep her emotions hidden and under control, even before she was a vampire. Being turned would just make everything worse. Sebastian wouldn’t know what hit him if the time ever came.

When Rune spoke about living with his mother’s vampire girlfriend, she could tell that he was still heated about what she had said. She knew he needed to calm down. It’s never a good thing to have an angry vampire roaming the halls of a school. Before she could open her mouth to suggest it, he was already calming down. ‘Good,’ she thought, ‘don’t need him potentially attacking someone by accident’. She was glad that he followed her turn of moods and her smile grew slightly. “No, just a regular bat,” she laughed. She was just happy she was a bat. She had always thought they were cute and had been one of her favorite animals. She laughed again when he spoke about her telepathy. “I’ll just be sure to stay out of your head then,” she replied. “I know what I look like naked, I don’t need to see what you got going on in there with those thoughts.”

Rune gave a small laugh as he said "Really, just a plain bat? What has whoever your dating done to you? Usually you go as cliche as possible." he said jokingly. He knew she was seeing someone, that part was kind of obvious by her constantly missing, how she acted, etc. The question mark was who was she dating, that he hadn't figured out yet. Some things Sam was terrible at hiding, others she was actually pretty good. Though he gave a small smirk as he said "Oh come on, you know the only things going on in there with you naked pertains towards art, or memories." grinning as he added playfully "except the things that involve you and another girl." Honestly he didn't think of any of those things that much, but occasionally he did, right now though what wasn't blank from trying to calm down had a cartoon look and a generic vampire that he did things like hit with a giant mallet. Cartoon violence was so good for working out some frustrations.

"To be quite honest, my head is more trying to wrap around the fact that I more or less have two moms now, the vampire one more then willing to teach me how to please a girl." he said with an eye roll. "What do you think it'd take to have a normal family for a change?" he asked somewhat jokingly and rhetorically. There was no possible way his family was normal, hell he knew they weren't. Especially his cousins... people talked about him and his sister, but what, his cousins don't count cause their female and hot? "Then again I guess things would be boring, wouldn't they?"
