	Transfiguration Transfiguration is the art of changing the form and appearance of an object and the vanishing of objects. This magical art is governed by Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration which acknowledges the limits to the power of this branch of magic. 	Prefects' Bathroom The door to the expansive Prefect's Bathroom requires a password and can be bolted and locked from the inside. There is one prominent portrait in the bathroom, which depicts a rather flirtatious looking mermaid. Inside the chamber the walls, floor, and even the pool-sized tub are made of white marble.
