They're both huffles and muggleborns, Ezra likes watching Quidditch so he'd have seen Marcie play as seeker and captain, and Marcie loves all animals and magical creatures, so she would love to hear Ezra talking excitedly about horses and would probably end up being just as excited as he is about them. I can see them being very good friends, and Marcie might end up having a crush on him, but since she's never had a boyfriend before and there's an age difference she would take a while to admit it.

I can see them geeking out about animal/horse related stuff, and any crush she gets would either pass or she'd end up admitting it in the most awkward way possible because she can be very socially awkward when it comes to things like that.

Okay, James and Ezra will certainly know each other. They are in the same year, and will certainly have had classes together. I can't really imagine them being friends though, the telekinetic-thing Ezra can do would creep James out (even though he would never admit it) -- Errm, do the students actually know about that?
If they do, James will probably be a little awkward around him, thinking weird things only because he's trying not to think them. Haha, he's nuts like that. They could be acquaintances? Even partners in some classes?
