My name is Marissa Jacqueline Yaxley…if you didn’t already know that, then you must not go to Hogwarts. After all, I am pretty well-known. I prefer Riss or Rissa, maybe even Rissy if we’re on really good terms. There is nothing else that I’ll answer to. I am seventeen and will be turning eighteen on October Sixteenth. Therefore, I’m in my seventh and final year at Hogwarts. I have to admit, I’m looking forward to graduating, but I’m less enthusiastic about not being able to see my friends as much when I do so. Obviously, I’m in Slytherin. There’s no other house I would want to be in. Ravenclaw might not be too horrible, but I would never be in Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. My blood is pure, of course! I’m very proud of that. My wand is ten and a half inches, made of mahogany wood, and has a dragon heartstring core. I always have it with me, just in case. My broom is a lovely Spark 3000, but I don’t use it very often. Playing Quidditch doesn’t appeal to me…I prefer being a spectator.

Who? I don’t even know who Aly Michalka is. In all honesty, I really don’t even care. My hair is naturally blonde and curly and usually long. Short hair doesn’t fit me very well. It usually behaves itself, but I do have to fuss with it once in a while. I’ve straightened it on a few occasions and I do like it that way as well. My eyes are green, though it’s a more subtle shade. I stand at a fairly tall 5’8 and weigh a healthy one hundred and fifteen pounds. I’m not a thin rail like some girls; I have some muscle on me from exercising. They aren’t huge and masculine or anything, but they exist. Don’t tell my father, but my bellybutton and ears are pierced and I have a tattoo on my left shoulder blade. It’s nothing extravagant, just a small black star I got during my sixth year.
I am a stylish person. Sweatpants are strictly for sleeping in; the same goes for old t-shirts. Even in the commons, I have to be wearing something casual-but-pretty. Green is my favorite color to wear and not just because it’s Slytherin’s color. I’ve been told that it’s a good color on me. Blue and black also make up a good portion of my closet and other colors are thrown in there too. Pink and orange can be found, but not very much of either. I’m not crazy about either of those colors. Stylish jeans are my guilty pleasure and I have dozens of them. Then there are shoes. Lots and lots of shoes. I have dresses for every occasion and various other things that I have deemed worthy of having a spot in my wardrobe.

I like…
-Slytherin; I’m very, very, very proud of the house I’m in. I wear my green and silver with pride and enjoy being in the same house as most of my family. Many gits insist that it’s an ‘evil’ house and anyone glad to be in it must be corrupt. They can kiss my arse. I am a Snake and there’s nothing they can do about it. When our Quidditch team plays, I’m there. I never miss a game. Cheering on my cousin and the rest of the team is a great opportunity to show off my Slytherin spirit. It sucks when we lose, but it’s worth it for the wins.
-Firewhiskey; My beverage of choice. I love my alcohol. If there’s a good party going on, I’m there. Holding down my booze is no issue. It used to be an issue, but my stomach has learned how to tolerate the stronger drinks. I’ll admit that I do puke once in a while, but that’s only if I go overboard. I do enjoy getting drunk. It’s a good excuse to do stupid things. There have been a few instances in which I’ve woken up with a boy, but I don’t consider myself a whore.
-Boys; One of my very favorite things. I’m a sucker for dark hair and pretty eyes. Flirting is nothing foreign to me. I do it on a daily basis. My usual targets are other Slytherins, but some Ravenclaw boys have caught my eye. Lions and Badgers don’t get second looks. My love life consists of dating a different boy every weekend, but let’s gets something straight; I’m not loose. I don’t sleep with every guy I go out with. It’s not easy to get in my pants. If my feelings aren’t strong enough, it won’t happen. The only exception is if I’m really drunk, but even then I don’t sleep around. But still, I love boys.
-Scorpius; Ew, no, not like that! I don't like him, I just like him. We're cousins, for Merlin's sake. He's been my best friend for seventeen, almost eighteen, years. That won't be changing any time soon.
-Compliments; It might sound vain and petty, but I love being flattered. Whether it's compliment on my new dress or someone telling me how great my hair looks, I really do enjoy it. If you want to get on my good side, fluff my ego. It's that simple.
-My Mother; We're super close and of course I love her...she's my mother! Why wouldn't I like her?
-Cats; They're such bright animals. I actually have one. She's a pretty little reddish orange-colored thing named Ruby. I adore how calm she is and how easy it is to care for her. It's nice to have an independent pet that doesn't need to sit on my lap twenty-four seven. They may not be the most affectionate creatures, but I do have a soft spot for felines.
-Dogs; Even though I love cats, dogs are just as great. It's in a very different way, though. While cats are less in-your-face, dogs want nothing more than to be with you. I know that I'm definitely not a sweet-tempered person, it's impossible not to smile when a happy, tail-wagging dog is around.
-Potions; This class has always fascinated me. There's just something cool about mixing things and creating such powerful substances. I've had a knack for it since first year and I've gotten pretty good at it.
-Transfiguration; It took me a little while to get the hang of Transfiguration, but once it clicked, I loved it. Transfiguration is a challenge, but it's very satisfying to succeed at it.
I dislike…
-Gryffindor; They're nothing but stupid, big-headed fools. I consider them to be more stupid than brave. Of course, our houses being rivals might make me biased, but it's more personal than that. They constantly give me crap about my father and what he did and I get very annoyed with it. I want nothing to do with any of the gits.
-Hufflepuffs; Puffs are obnoxious for a different reason. They usually aren't as bold and loud as Gryffindor, but they're just so useless. They aren't smart, or 'brave', or determined and strong, they just don't fit in anywhere else. It's easier to ignore their existances rather than try to deal with them. The only real exception is my brother, but I'm still convinced that he isn't meant to be a Hufflepuff.
-Grapes; They're gross. The texture bothers me and the taste makes me wince.
-Divination; Now this is, quite simply, a ridiculous class. It's barely accurate and I really don't want to know my future in the first place. I prefer not knowing what's coming. The entire class is a complete joke.
-Early Mornings; Even getting up for class is torture. Sleeping in to ten or eleven in the morning is my preference and getting up before then never puts me in a good mood. I'm a night owl, not an early bird.
-Failing; No person likes to fail, but I take it more seriously than that. Losing at anything can bother me for days. It can be a simple game, an argument that I lose, or even a project in class that I don't do correctly. Anything will be enough to irk me.
-Muggles; Don't question me about this. I was raised to look down on them and no one's going to change my opinion.
-Potters; I can't stand any of them. Everyone thinks they're so wonderful because of what their father did when, really, they're overrated. The eldest, James, is an obnoxious git. He might be blessed with good looks, but that doesn't make up for the fact that he's nothing but a stereotypical Gryffindor. Albus, well, he's a Slytherin...but I think him and my brother should switch places. Lily is even more annoying than James. She's so loud and much too outgoing. On top of all that, our families don't get along.
-Weasleys; There's too many of them to explain why I can't stand each one. Our families have bad history and they're just like the Potters.
-My Brother Being a Hufflepuff; It bothers me. Of course it bothers me. My little brother is in a house for weaklings. I would never disown him or anything, but he's too good to be there.

WHAT ARE YOU GOOD AT? AND TO GO
WITH THAT, WHAT ARE YOUR WEAKNESSES?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
My strengths are...
-Cunning; I know how to get what I want. I'm a smart girl, even if some might try to deny it. Lying isn't something I love doing, but I'll do it if I have to. This is probably why people seem to have a hard time trusting me sometimes.
-Flirting; To be blunt, I'm good with guys. I know all the tricks, like flattery and batting my eyelashes, but let's face it; if you want a guy, you have to break out some good ol' fashioned seduction. No, as I've mentioned before, I'm not a whore. This skill is only occasionally used to get past 'second base'.
-Potions; I'm great at it. My best marks are usually in Potions class. It isn't that complicated if you actually focus and put some effort into it.
-Dueling; Don't jump to conclusions based off my appearence; I'm lethal with a wand. I may not be up to my full potential yet, seeing as I'm not out of Hogwarts, but I'm confident that I could take on an adult and hold my own. Dad agrees and promises me that it will be a useful skill in life.
-Focused; While some teenagers can't pay attention for more than ten seconds, I'm capable of sitting still and listening intently for an entire class period. If it's something that bores me, this doesn't apply. I can't stand dull things.
My weaknesses are...
-Sore loser; I hate, no, I loathe losing. It drives me insane. If I'm beaten at something I'm good at, it bothers me for weeks. This can lead to me getting, or at least wanting, revenge. My friends all tease me about it, but they just don't understand my obsession with winning.
-Firewhiskey; I'll do just about anything for a good drink and it usually comes back to bite me. I do stupid things when I'm drunk, like tell people things that are supposed to be kept quiet. Boozing definitely comes with a price.
-Stubborn; If I don't want to do something, I won't do it. If I want to do something, I'll do it. Nobody can stop me or change my opinion. Therefore, when I'm about something to do stupid that I'll regret, I don't let people talk me out of it. I've gotten in a lot of tight spots just because I'm as stubborn as a mule.
-Not a Very Nice Person; Okay, everyone says this is a weakness, but I don't really think so. If you're nice to everyone, they walk all over you. I can't have that. To keep my status, I have to keep the other girls intimidated. I might not have a ton of real friends, but I don't mind. If I'm a bitch, so be it.
-Clothes & Accessories; Ooooh. Clothes. What wouldn't I do for a perfect dress or a pair of flattering jeans? I have to admit, muggles make some good clothes. I've gone to a few of their shopping malls on multiple occasions. That's not something I tell many people...keep it quiet. Anyways, just a little hint to any boy who happens to have a desire to woo me, buy me jewelry to go with my clothes. I love sparkly things just as much as I do great outfits.

HOW ABOUT SOME OTHER NITPICKY THINGS?

Quirks? Habits? Um, I suppose I have a couple. Does sarcasm count? I use it a lot, even at the most inappropriate times. Just don’t take any of it personally unless you know that I really don’t like you. I also chew on my lower lip a lot, primarily when I’m in deep thought or when I’m worried about something. It’s something I’ve been trying to stop doing. It makes it obvious to people when I’m uneasy, and I hate people reading me like that. Plus it can result in my getting lipstick on my teeth. That can be embarrassing. Lastly, I flip my hair when I’m flirting. It’s an absent-minded thing, but boys have told me it’s cute. Whatever works, I guess. My fear doesn’t exist. I’m fearless. Okay, fine, I’m not, alright? I’m terrified of being alone forever. I have such a strong personality and I suck at having long relationships. I’m scared that I’ll never get married. Mother says the right guy will come along, but I don’t know. I’m in my seventh year and my longest relationship was a month. How could I ever get married if I can’t even keep a boyfriend? It’s a silly thing to fret about, but I can’t help it. Oh Merlin, do I really have to tell my secret? But it’s so humiliating! This one time, last year…don’t you dear judge me…I hooked up with a Gryffindor. Alright, alright! It was more than once. It was a few times. I couldn’t stop myself! He was so hot, and his voice…I’d like to see other girls ignore that boy when he muttered things in their ears. Thankfully no one saw us, and the only people that know about it are him, Scorp, and I. Gryffindor boy promised not to tell anyone. As far as I know, he kept that promise. I just had to tell Scorpius; I tell him everything. At least it’s all in the past. Hot cocoa, mint, and citrus are my favorite smells. I’m currently single, but I’ve been enjoying a fling here and there. I am straight, no matter what some ignorant rumors might claim.
My patronus is a German Shepherd Dog. It’s pretty and I like it. German Shepherds are beautiful, and strong, just like me. The memory to go with it is the time that I spent an entire day playing outside with my siblings when we were children. It’s kind of corny and simple, but it makes me smile every single time I think about it. I miss those days. Things were so much easier.
My boggart is my father with a very angry look on his face. It makes me freak out every time I see it, even though I know it isn’t really him. My worst memory is the day he got furious with me for some reason that I can’t recall. Obviously, the two things go together. I really hate upsetting him, but I’m more scared of how much he yells when he gets pissed. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, few things in the world could terrify me more.

WHAT ABOUT YOUR OVERALL PERSONALITY?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Different people see different parts of my personality. I might seem like a shallow prick, but I am way deeper than you might think. Toward people I don’t like, I will be mean. Especially if I have a really good reason to dislike you. I’ll do anything and everything to tear you down and make you feel horrible about yourself. Just be smart and stay out of my way. I’m not a person that you want to mess with. You’ll regret every brash thing you say or do to me, I promise you will. If I consider you a friend and you stab me in the back, you’re in for it even worse than the people I didn’t like in the first place. Don’t underestimate me.
Now, if we get along well, I’m a great friend. I protect those that I care about. If anyone has the nerve to upset them, I’ll react as if they hurt me. Loyalty might not be one of my shining qualities, but it does exist inside of me. I just prefer to reserve it for those who really mean a lot to me. When I’m around my friends, I’m much more smiley and goofy. Fun is a big part of my weekend, and nothing says fun like a party. If there’s a good party, I’m there. It’s nice to loosen up and take my mind off of school or a short time.
My family is complicated. Of my immediate family, I’m the closest to my mother and sister. I confide lots of things in them and like being a big sister to Jo. If she ever needs advice or someone to talk to, I’m there for her. My dad’s alright. He isn’t someone that I really enjoy talking to, but he buys me nice things and we’re okay. I love my bother, but let’s not talk about how I feel about him being in Hufflepuff. My cousin, Scorpius, is my best friend. We grew up together and look out for each other. He’s the only person I can pour my heart and soul out to without having to worry about him telling someone or judging me. No one in the universe knows me as well as Scorp.

My family? Hm, well, I like them. My feelings toward each member vary.
Lance Yaxley; He’s my father. I’m not as close to him as I am to my mother, but I do love him and he buys me pretty much anything I want. That’s how he solves everything. If we get in an argument, he doesn’t say sorry; he just sends me a pretty necklace or a new dress (picked out by mother, obviously). That way, he doesn’t have to admit he’s wrong. He just expects me to appreciate the gift too much to be angry with him. It may be shallow, but I don’t complain; he’s happy and I have something new to show off to my friends. I might not be his ‘little princess’, that’s more my sister’s title, but Father and I do have very similar views and stay on good terms for the most part.
Daphne Yaxley; My mother is one of the few people that I tell everything to. Whether it’s a new boy interest or something that’s been bothering me, she listens and gives me the best advice. We rarely argue, which seems to be rare for mothers and their teenage daughters, but that’s because she’s more laidback and doesn’t criticize me for being a ‘naïve teenager’. Mother lets me make my own decisions and just makes sure that she’s there for me when I make the wrong ones. She knows that it’s just part of growing up and I’m thankful for it. I couldn’t stand having one of those awful, strict mothers that try to have constant control over their children. If I haven’t made it clear already, I love her very much.
---- ---- Yaxley; Ugh, my brother. There’s a bit of a sore subject. He’s a Hufflepuff, something that irks me to no end. I keep trying to tell myself that the Sorting Hat just had a bad year (the ruddy thing put a Potter in Slytherin and a Yaxley in Hufflepuff, for Merlin’s sake!). Despite his house, I do believe that there’s still hope for him. He is my brother and there’s got to be a proper Snake somewhere in that boy.
Joanne Eleonora Yaxley; My little sister can be a pain or a blessing, depending on the day. We can be as close as my mother and I…as long as she isn’t wearing any of my clothes or acting like a brat. Most days, she and I get along well. She’s one of my good friends, despite the slight age different. I love our conversations and listening to her talk about what’s going on in her life. It’s hard to believe that she’s getting to the age where she’s dating boys and actually growing up. I wouldn’t say that I’m overprotective of her, but if a boy is stupid enough to hurt her or some thick little Gryffindor tries to harass my sister, I won’t let them get away with it.
Draco Malfoy; Uncle Draco is a lot like my father, but...different. They share a lot of similar opinions on things. I can't quite put my finger on why they differ, but it feels like I can be more relaxed around Uncle Draco. He isn't as uptight as my dad.
Astoria Malfoy; It's obvious that she's my mother's sister...they seem to have similar personalities. I love Aunt Astoria.
Scorpius Malfoy; Scorp and I...we're pretty much the definition of trouble. He's my best friend and has been since we were little ones. We're very, very close and I tell him stuff that even my mother doesn't know about, like the fact that I got drunk and made out with a Gryffindor once...not something I'm proud of, but it felt good to get it off my chest. I'm a different person around him. Other people say that, to put it bluntly, I'm a bitch. But around my cousin, I don't feel like I need to be so snobbish. I can be goofy, or bubbly, or even less prejudiced toward muggleborns. I'm not saying that I like them or anything, but it feels like I can question my views when I'm with Scorp. Around the rest of my family...no. I'm expected to think a certain way and despise 'mudbloods'. It's nice to have someone that I can feel, well, more open around.

I was the first child of Lance and Daphne Yaxley; a healthy little girl that smiled at anything and everything. They had been delighted and filled with the excitement that came with being first-time parents. I grew into a blonde-haired, strong-willed toddler. Trouble always seemed to be right at my fingertips and my poor mother had a tough time keeping up with me. Even though I had an entire room filled with pretty toys and things that could keep any other child busy, I preferred the things that I wasn’t supposed to have. If the front door was left open, I was bound to crawl or walk right out into the yard. My little brother was around, but I never really paid him much attention. My favorite playmate was Scorpius. Every time he was over, the trouble around the Yaxley household doubled.
As I got older, I started to get closer to my brother and sister. We played together as children, and of course I was always in charge. Whenever Scorp was around, we shared command over the other two. The day finally came when I was ready to go off to Hogwarts. Naturally, I didn’t leave my cousin’s side the entire way there. Some people even mistook us as twins, seeing as we did look similar. At first, I was nervous about school. It was a new place and I would be far away from my parents and siblings. My fears subsided when I walked into the Great Hall for the first time. Being sorted into Slytherin was no surprise. I had already known that that was where I was going to end up. As expected, Scorpius was at the same table as I was. Things got even better when I made friends with other Slytherins, started classes, and got into the swing of things.
Before I knew it, second year was starting. That was the year my brother started at Hogwarts. I had a spot saved for him next to me at the Slytherin table. Then, the sorting hat touched his head, and announced to everyone that my brother, ---- Yaxley, was a Hufflepuff. I nearly died. All my friends looked at me in stunned silence, and I was thoroughly mortified. That entire year, I barely even looked at him. I was so hurt and upset. A little relief came when it was my sister’s turn to start at Hogwarts. This time, my eyes were closed when she went up in front of the school to be sorted. I couldn’t bear to watch my sister be put into Hufflepuff or Gryffindor. Thank Merlin she was put into Slytherin.
The rest of my time at Hogwarts has been a blur. I’ve loved almost every moment at it and can’t wait to begin my final year. Something tells me that it’s going to be the best one yet.

RAWR! My name is Viv, I'm female, I'm sixteen going on seventeen, I use the IM on Skype so PM me and I might give you my user, or if you have something specific to say/ask, just PM me or speak up in that spiffeh little Chatango that I'm constantly in. I started RPing on Neopets when I was ten and on Proboards when I was twelve, so I have some years under my metophorical belt. ^^ TWT and I met on Proboards Support and fell madly in love (I'm 'virtually married' to Jazzie, MJ, and Birdy, though MJ is abusive). My other character is Lily Luna Potter and the password...it's a good one...are you ready for this? ADMIN EDIT.
Messy hair must have just been a Potter thing. Despite their mother’s calm and behaved hair, their father’s was the dominant gene. Both Al and Lily had hair that liked to put up a fight against being tamed. Hers might have seemed like a challenge, but her green-eyed brother had it worse. She could successfully coax hers into falling straight and pretty with some work. Albus was a boy; he wasn’t supposed to have to deal with hours of styling. Then again, boys could pull off unruly hair better than most girls. Hers would be poofy and a bit frizzy if she spent any less than half an hour on it while guys could look like male models if theirs was messy. Oh well, there were worse things than having crazy hair. She grinned when he stuck his tongue out and responded by returning the gesture. It was immature, but she loved it.
Why did she fail so badly at keeping her hidden fears a secret? She deserved being teased for this one. The redhead gave him a slight smirk and rolled her eyes. “Then it’s a good thing I’m not little.” She laughed at his act. It was so nice to be able to joke around with him like this. Most brothers preferred to be annoyed with their younger sisters rather than play along with their antics. “You’re so mean! Now I’m actually going to be eaten by the monster and you’ll feel horrible!” she pretended to sulk, but another grin was trying to force its way through the façade. Just in case, she scooted a little closer to her brother and gave the lake one more suspicious look. It was better to be safe than sorry. “But if it wanted to kill someone…I mean, it has those long tentacles…” she allowed herself to trail off. She tried to play it off like she was joking, but there was still that paranoia in the back of her mind.
Poor Albus. Being sorted into Slytherin wasn’t that bad of a thing, but she knew how cruel a good part of its students could be. Especially toward a Potter. “It hasn’t gotten any better?” Lily’s disappointment was clear. She wanted him to be happy more than anything and, to her, his house situation wasn’t accomplishing that. It made her question how accurate the sorting hat really was. “Yeah, they don’t bother hiding it,” she sighed, “but if you need someone to put the first years in their place, I’m not against smacking a few brats in the head.” She would have said ‘hexing’ instead of ‘smacking’, but she wouldn’t do that. They were too inexperienced to protect themselves from spells and there was no way she would take advantage of that. It would be cruel and not her style. “I get stared at by the new ones, but it doesn’t bother me.”
“Oh shut up! You know you love being called Albers!” She grinned widely. “Loony Lily? Well, I can’t say it isn’t fitting,” she joked, shrugging. Yeah, she was quirky. So what? Calling her crazy or odd really didn’t affect her. “Mhm, we’re named after heroes,” she agreed proudly. Curses, he mentioned Scorpius again. Even that made those pesky butterflies in her stomach fly around. It was just silly. “It kind of makes me wonder if his parents actually love him,” she tried to cover up her behavior by making a jab at the Malfoy boy. If James or Albus found out that she had even a smidgen of feelings for Scorpius, they wouldn’t be happy. The families were rivals and she was pretty sure that nothing could change that.
She was such a lucky girl. Many people were unfortunate enough to have messed up or split families. It was difficult to imagine living like that. If Lily didn’t have her parents or brothers or extended family, she didn’t know what she would do. They had a strong bond and really loved each other. “If you get cold, just say the word and I’ll give it back,” she offered. There was no way she was going to let Al freeze because she was too stupid to grab a jacket. However, she really was thankful for the relief from the cold. It wasn’t her kind of weather. She was more into late spring and summer. Winter was her least favorite, but autumn wasn’t much better.
Of course he didn’t fall for her effortless excuse. Anyone that knew Lily, even just a little, knew that school wasn’t her priority. “Are you kidding me? I’m completely dedicated to school! There’s nothing on earth that I would rather do than my essays!” she exclaimed with mock passion. It was hard to not giggle at her own performance. “I wouldn’t call James ‘gullible’, but you do know me better.” A pang of guilt did strike her at his next statement, but she just bit her lower lip for a moment and shook her head. “You’ll be happier if you don’t know, Al. Trust me,” she promised.
Her expression grew more serious. This was a very touchy subject and she knew it. “No, Albus, it honestly isn’t,” she corrected him in a firm voice. It wasn’t sharp or pushy, but it made it clear that she didn’t believe that Albus was responsible for any of it. “We’re both busy. Schoolwork’s a pain and we’re both Quidditch stars…I don’t know about you, but that doesn’t leave much free time for me,” she managed to make that sound a bit lighter, but she prevented herself from sounding goofy. “It entire house thing doesn’t mean anything. Sure, we might see each other around the commons, but we would still hang out with our separate friends.” She shook her head. “You shouldn’t wish that. You’re great the way you are and I think you are a fantastic brother.”
