THERE EXIST A STAR ABOVE THAT ALWAYS STEALS MY STAREAND THERE EXISTS A STAR ON STAGE THAT DOESN'T SEEM TO CARE* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
When he chuckled at what she had said, she blushed slightly and smiled. She knew how it felt to be good at one thing and horrible at another. She honestly hated it, because she liked being good at almost everything. But she couldn’t really complain, because she was really good at the essays part of every subject. “Well, maybe I’ll just have to make sure you’re my potions partner from now on then,”
she said with a laugh. She wouldn’t mind having him as a partner. He was smart, she knew that much, and he wasn’t bad looking either. So she wouldn’t mind being able to just stand next to him and just enjoy his cuteness. “Herbology isn’t my strong suit either, but I’m pretty okay at it.” She was definitely better at the plants than she was at cooking them together. She didn’t like the ones that bit though, or were poisonous. She didn’t like having to deal with dangerous plants. Especially when she didn’t know exactly what they could do to her. That was why she usually stayed in the back when she was in Care of Magical Creatures. If she didn’t know that the creatures were okay to be around, she stayed as far back as possible. She didn’t like having to be sent to the hospital wing, or getting hurt. So she pretty much just avoided a lot of things. The worst she’d get would be a paper cut from her parchment or a page in a book she’s reading. She was a whimp when it came to pain or anything that could hurt her. She wasn’t scared of anything, she just didn’t want to hurt herself doing something silly. She gave him a small, reassuring smile as he spoke about being back at talking about himself as well. “Well, at least we have that much in common,” she lightly teased. They had keeping to themselves in common too. That was probably why she had never really seen him around either. She was never one to bother someone in the first place, but she’d remember seeing his face in areas she usually occupies. She smiled slightly as he spoke about his family. She only had her brother and not to many cousins, so it was usually nice to hear about other families. Dominique had a huge family and Daniella couldn’t help but feel jealous. Just as that thought crossed her mind, she heard Albus mention her name. She looked at him and her eyes widened slightly. No way. He was a cousin of her best friend?! “You’re a cousin of Domi’s?” she asked excitedly. She knew about all of her friend’s cousins, but never really talked to any of them. And yet here she was now, talking and enjoying the company of one of them. “…She’s mentioned me?” she asked curiously. She hoped that it was nothing but good things that was said. Not that Dani ever did anything, of course. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] WORDS COUNT lots STATUS finished OUTFIT clicky!NOTES hihi! MUSIC hellogoodbye CREDIT :D

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO LET YOU GO you're so deep down in my soulI feel helpless, so hopeless. It's a door that never closesNO, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO THIS Albus couldn't help the stupid grin that crossed his face when she suggested that they be potions partners. He gave her a small nod. "Yeah," he said. "Why not?" Fortunately for Al, he and Benoite were a year apart. He wouldn't have to deal with looking at her in any of his classes. A part of Al just wanted her out of his life so he would never have to think of it again. Another part missed her terribly. But Dani seemed like a really nice (and really pretty) girl, and he wanted to enjoy her company. "I'm a bloody mess with plants," he mumbled, looking out at the sky. "I swear they're out to get me sometimes. Professor Longbottom seems to think the plants in the greenhouse try to poison me on purpose." He shook his head and chuckled.
When Dani teased him a bit, he shrugged his shoulders and fought back the blush that was starting to appear on his face. "I guess so," he managed. "Although it's nice being in the company of somebody who isn't so… dark all the time. Not to say that all Slytherins are like that, of course." And he was telling the truth, because simply having a conversation with Dani was making his day so much better. At first, when she looked at him, he had been ready to snap, but now that he was getting to know her a bit, the stress and anger had been lifted off of his shoulders. As far as Albus knew, she seemed to be enjoying his presence too. It made him happy; it was something he wasn't used to around new people.
Suddenly, after Albus mentioned Dominique, Dani turned towards him with wide eyes. He leaned back slightly, his own green eyes widened. But then she mentioned his cousin, and he laughed. "I am!" he exclaimed, inwardly in hysterics at the face that Dani had called her "Domi." He would have to tease her with that sometime. "Her dad is my mum's older brother. I can't believe she hasn't talked about our crazy fam—ohh. Nevermind. I can understand why," he joked lightly. Their Weasley clan was exceptionally large and full of a bunch of nutters. He didn't know how his grandparents handled them all. "And I believe she has mentioned you occasionally. Dom and I are pretty close. So you're good friends, then?"

Dani smiled when he agreed with her about the potions partner idea. It’d be nice to be partners with someone like him. Especially since he actually enjoyed potions and most of the people she was partnered with only tolerated it. She was just there to pass the class. She didn’t really care. She was content on making things the muggle way. It always intrigued her when she was little and her mother showed her how to do a bunch of things with no magic. Better than not knowing like most of the purebloods here. It made her laugh that they couldn’t do the simplest things without magic. She laughed lightly as he spoke about herbology. “Yeah, some of those plants do seem to have it out for some of us,”
she agreed. Some did look pretty vicious when they had to try and replant them or harvest them. She smiled and tucked some hair behind her ear. “I’m not usually dark,” she said, still smiling. “Well, when I’m not upset of course.” Sure, everyone would be a little dark and depressed if they were upset about something, but Dani was usually a pretty happy girl. She wasn’t one of those overly obnoxious happy girls that could get on your nerves easily, she just didn’t think negative about everything all the time like some people. She gave him a small shrug. “Some are. One reason I usually avoid them,” she admitted. She gave him an apologetic smile. If they weren’t so mean and negative, maybe she’d talk to more of them (it was still doubtful, but a slightly pleasant thought). She knew most of them were only like that because of their parents. It was usually just how they were raised. “But I’m glad you’re not like that,” she said, with a light blush. She blushed again when he laughed. She couldn’t help her bit of excitement. Dominique had mentioned some of her family, but never usually in specifics. That never really bothered Dani though. She just liked hearing silly stories about them all. She laughed. “Well, she has sort of mentioned some of you, but there’s so many, it’s hard to keep track!” And she was sure that he knew. He was part of the family of course. “I am jealous that you have such a big family, though. I only have my brother,” she shrugged. She was just glad that she wasn’t an only child. She’d probably tear her hair out if she was. She did everything with him while they were home for the holidays. While they were at school, they pretty much kept their distance, since Dani had Dom and he had his friends, but that never stopped him from seeing her on his breaks. She nodded at his question. “Yeah we are,” she smiled. “Been friends since our first year actually. We met during class.” She had been the first person that Dani actually approached first. She didn’t want to get stuck with someone odd as a partner and they just kind of clicked from there. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO LET YOU GO you're so deep down in my soulI feel helpless, so hopeless. It's a door that never closesNO, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO THIS Albus nodded in agreement as Dani mentioned the vicious plants in the greenhouse. "Agreed," he said with strong emphasis. It was good talking to her about simple things like school and classes. It helped get his mind off of the awful situation he was in. Things like getting knocked out by a screeching plant just didn't have the same depth as dating Tom Riddle's daughter, and thank Merlin for that. He wasn't brooding or thinking negatively anymore. His mindset was in a totally different place. At least Dani understood where he was coming from, and he could sit and chat with her about it. They weren't angry with each other or angry at the world, and to Albus, it was extremely refreshing.
Then the topic changed to Slytherin house, and even then, Dani's bright presence was enough to keep him from frowning. "Everybody gets upset," he said, smiling at her then glancing down at his feet. "Especially if you've been fortunate enough to inherit a Weasley temper. Yeesh," he added semi-jokingly. An argument between Albus, James, Lily, and Ginny was bad enough, but they had a family full of Weasleys. Talk about getting upset! He nodded, frowning slightly when she mentioned avoiding people in his house. "I get it. We have a lot of purebloods that were raised to believe they were better than the entire world. It's just not that way for me. I mean… I'm ambitious and pretty determined, but I wasn't raised to think I'm better than anyone," Al explained before pausing for a moment. When she mentioned that she was glad that he wasn't that way, he looked at her, smiling. "I've got a pretty great dad, I guess."
He smirked when she mentioned his family. "Understandable. There's far too many of us," Al explained, shrugging. "Having a big family is nice sometimes, but it's terrible when you just to be left alone. In fact, I sort of envy you for only having a brother." He paused, thinking about his relationship with James. His brother used to be his best friend, but their relationship had slowly been crumbling ever since he was sorted into Slytherin. They had more of a rivalry than anything now, really. "What sort of relationship do you have with your brother?" he asked, his voice sort of shielding the emotions behind his words. "Are you close?"
Al was glad to hear that Dom had found a friend in Dani. Their personalities must have mixed together well. "That's nice," he said. "Dom's great. A little crazy, but… you know."

Daniella smiled when he agreed with her statement. Most of the kids that tried talking to her would say goofy things like that while they were in the Greenhouses, but she always just concentrated on her work and occasionally nodded at whatever it was they said to her. Sometimes she was paying attention, sometimes she wasn’t. It wasn’t really her problem if they could figure something out. They never talked to her before, so why should she listen when they were trying to ask her for help with something. She never said that she was the smartest out of all of them, but she knew enough to get her by. That was another reason she was occasionally teased. Mostly by other houses. The kids in Ravenclaw were smart by default. You had to be, to get by in this house. She had yet to meet a stupid Ravenclaw, not including the new first years. They were new to everything, so she usually let it slide.
She gave him a small nod when he said that everyone gets upset. They did. They always had their reasons too. She just didn’t like it when they took it out on others. It was never really called for unless it was instigated. She would never snap at someone just because she was in a bad mood. It wasn’t their fault she was angry. It was just rude. She giggled lightly when he mentioned inheriting the Weasley temper. “I take it it must get crazy in your house when arguments ensue,”
she said with a laugh. She couldn’t even imagine how his huge family would be if they were all arguing. That’s why she was content with a small family most of the time. She bit her lip when he frowned and tucked some hair behind her ear as a soft breeze blew. “I just don’t get it,” she said after a moment. “I don’t understand people sometimes,” she added with a laugh. She looked over at him as he spoke of himself. She didn’t know him too well, of course, but she could agree with him being determined and ambitious. She had seen him play quidditch. She smiled when he mentioned his dad. “I can only imagine!” Having Harry Potter as a father could either be a good thing or a bad thing. He was still considered a celebrity for everything that he had done. She laughed. “Well, any and all cousins I do have, are in Spain. We don’t visit them very often, only for family affairs. It’s nice just keeping to ourselves. Being Spanish…there’s probably the amount of cousins you have doubled in my family,” she smiled. With her dad having seven siblings, and her mother having six, they all had at least two or three (even more) kids each. It was hard keeping track of them all. Some of her cousins were even older than her, probably married with more kids. Her family was insane, but it just came with the culture. She nodded at his question. “Yeah, Lucas and I really close. More at home though, than we are here. He does pop up out of nowhere sometimes to check up on me during my breaks. But yeah…here we usually stick to our friends, but at home, we’re practically inseparable.” Dani laughed. She loved Dominique and wouldn’t trade her for the world. She was her best friend. “Yeah she is a little crazy, but that’s what makes her fun to be around. I don’t think I’d want a normal friend.” [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] WORDS COUNT lots STATUS finished OUTFIT clicky!NOTES hihi! MUSIC hellogoodbye CREDIT :D

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO LET YOU GO you're so deep down in my soulI feel helpless, so hopeless. It's a door that never closesNO, I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO THIS Albus couldn't help the bark of laughter that came from him when Dani mentioned arguments in the Potter-Weasley clan. Being close with Dominique, it was likely that the ravenclaw got at least a small taste of their family temper. At least now he knew that explaining his family wouldn't scare the poor girl off, which was a bonus—especially considering how crazy things could get. "You've no idea," Albus chuckled, shaking his head. "It's one thing when it's Lily, James, and I, but when the whole family's there, there's bound to be plenty of broken glass and injuries." He winked at her. "If you ever visit, I suggest bringing padding and a first aid kit," he added jokingly.
Al shrugged. "I don't understand people either. It would be nice if these "purists" could get off their high horses and start thinking realistically for once. Besides, they're giving the good slytherins a bad name," he joked lightly, smiling slightly and glancing at Dani again as she spoke of his dad. "Yeah…. I don't know what I would do without him. Mum either. I owe them a lot for dealing with the three of us all these years. We've honestly been raising hell for them since we were born."
He gave her a small nod as she explained her family, widening his green eyes as she mentioned her numerous cousins. He also couldn't imagine not living near his family—no matter how big they were. He supposed it would be somewhat more difficult to keep track of all his family if he had relatives like hers. "Wow," he said, chuckling. "That's a lot. We're close with all of our first-cousins, but we have a lot of distant relatives too… which… kind of sucks. We could be related to anyone and not know it. I guess you know the feeling!"
As Dani explained her relationship with her brother, Albus managed a small smile. "That's good," he said. "James and I certainly don't associate much in school. We've got a rather big rivalry. We're better at home too, though." Al shook his head, then laughed. "We used to be inseparable… for the whole first three years of my life, as I recall."
Al sighed gently. "Well, you're in luck, Dani, because Dom is just like the rest of the family—anything but normal. Speaking of which, I'm sure you've had the misfortune of having class with my godbrother. Professor Lupin," he said, saying the name condescendingly. "He's the craziest of us all, though you wouldn't think it."

THERE EXIST A STAR ABOVE THAT ALWAYS STEALS MY STAREAND THERE EXISTS A STAR ON STAGE THAT DOESN'T SEEM TO CARE* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Daniella laughed. Little did he know, she could relate to it more than he thought. It was one thing when crazy Potter-Weasleys argued or just got together. She knew that his family wouldn’t even be able to compete with hers. Hispanics were insane when they got together. The English had nothing on them on noise or volume or anything. “I’ll be sure to bring one if I do visit. Who knows…maybe I will.” She wasn’t sure what she was doing for any of her vacations yet, and her and Dom had both talked about spending a few days with each other at both of their families’ house. “I’m sure you’ll keep my safe though,” she said with a small blush, as she brushed some hair back.
Daniella rolled her eyes slightly as he mentioned the purists. She hated the Slytherins that were like that. Her parents were both purebloods, and both had people like Slytherins in their family, but none of them were like the people here. She nodded and looked down at her hands, “they are. I know not all Slytherins are jerks, but just being around the ones that are sort of just…make it seem like they all are.” She looked up at him through her lashes and smiled. “I like knowing a nice snake now. Maybe I’ll meet another one at some point.” She lifted her head as he spoke of his dad and smiled. She could only imagine the kind of havoc the Potter kids could cause. Especially James. She could tell that he seemed like a handful just from hearing about the trouble he caused here.
She laughed. “It’s ridiculous. Especially since some of my cousins are older than me and getting married and having kids of their own. We haven’t even bothered making a family tree, because we’d always have to add at least two or three more kids to it. I am sure someone will make one at some point though.” Her family was insane and as much as she loved them, it was hard to keep track of everyone. She loved her family, but she could only take so much of them. That was why she liked not living in Spain anymore. Visiting was one thing, living there was a completely different story. She nodded and said with a smile, “definitely. I could only imagine crushing on someone only to find out they’re a cousin.” That was another reason she was glad she was here and not near her family.
Daniella smiled. She knew the feeling when it came to the rivalry. Sure, her and her brother didn’t have that, but she knew both Potter boys were in rivaling houses and on the Quidditch teams, so it could only make things worse between the two. Not in a bad way though. With her brother being in Slytherin, he would playfully tease her, but she always knew that he was never serious about any of it. “Lucas is in your house, so I know the feeling,” she said with a laugh. “But other than that…we’re pretty close. There isn’t anything about me that he doesn’t know.”
Daniella laughed. “Good, I wouldn’t want her any other way. Normal friends are boring. I’m only normal when I’m by myself. Since I’m not really…social, you know,” she said with a small smile and a shrug. Her smile grew slightly at the mention of her DADA professor. He was an interesting one. Nothing like all the other professors she had, but she liked that. “I like him though. Definitely makes the class a lot less boring.”
